Maximizing Your Bingo Experience at The International 2024
Are you ready for The International 2024 starting tomorrow on September 4th? Now is the time to make sure you’re prepared to participate in TI13 Bingo and other mini games available in the Compendium.
While Bingo may seem completely random, there are definitely some strategies to consider, especially if you want to earn crucial Compendium Points and level up. Here’s our guide to maximizing your Bingo experience:
Understanding TI13 Compendium Bingo
TI13 Compendium Bingo is a mini game that allows you to earn points for the Compendium just by letting things unfold during The International. There are a total of 9,000 Compendium Points up for grabs, which means nine full levels for the Compendium.
Bingo Squares are random and can be shuffled, rerolled, and upgraded. In general, shuffling is not recommended after getting a good bingo board. Our advice is to try using rerolls to get a number of easily achievable squares.
For example, Controlled Demolition, The Quick and the Dead, and No Rune For You are good squares, as tower denials, kills after Haste rune, and rune denials are quite common. When strategizing for Bingo, it may also be interesting to explore Dota 2 opportunities to see how these elements are played during the game.
Tips for Success
It’s best to avoid very specific requirements like Blink and You’ll Miss It (X number of Blink Daggers purchased in a game). Even elements like Fuzzy Wuzzy (Two Furry Heroes) and various foot-based elements are risky as the TI meta strengthens.
Generally, you don’t want requirements that involve more than 20 instances. Ideally, a bingo square will have fewer than 10 requirements for each game. Although each game can fulfill multiple squares, there is a limited number of games. Make sure to use Upgrade Square tokens to reduce the number of squares as low as possible.
If you receive a bad square, try to minimize it by rerolling or placing it parallel to the Free square in the middle. Additionally, considering Dota 2 betting odds can add excitement as you track your Bingo progress.
Example TI13 Bingo Card
Here’s an example Bingo Card. It’s not 100% optimal, but it uses high-value squares that repeat to try and maximize results. Note that in almost all cases, we have tried to keep the required number under 20 and in most cases around 4-10.
Once you have the ideal Bingo Card, the next step is to hope for the best. Good luck, and enjoy The International!
